Zongbing You received his M.D. degree and his Ph.D. degree from the West China University of Medical Sciences, Chengdu, China, in 1989 and 1994, respectively. From 1994 to 1998, You was a Postdoctoral Fellow and then a Gynecologic Oncologist at the Peking University First Hospital, Beijing, China. In 1998, You worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Freiburg, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. In 2000, he moved to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, as a Research Fellow. In 2003, You joined the Faculty of the University of California, Davis, CA, USA, as an Adjunct Instructor and then an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2008, You joined the Faculty of the Tulane University Health Sciences Center as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at the Department of Structural and Cellular Biology and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine. You is also a Member of Tulane Cancer Center, Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium, Tulane Center for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine, and Tulane Center for Aging. You's primary research interest is cancer biology, particularly, inflammation and cancer. He is also interested in the development of articular joint and tissue regeneration and repair of articular cartilage damage.
