Gerardo F. Torres del Castillo

Gerardo F. Torres del Castillo was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, in 1956. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Cinvestav-IPN at México City in 1979 and 1982, respectively. From 1981 to date, he has been working as a Teacher and Researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Puebla, México. He has authored or coauthored 149 articles in mathematical physics and is the Author of the books 3D Spinors, Spin-Weighted Functions and Their Applications (2003), Spinors in Four-Dimensional Spaces (2010), and Differentiable Manifolds: A Theoretical Physics Approach (2011), published by Birkhäuser, Boston. He has supervised over 90 B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. theses and has received awards from the Mexican Physical Society and the Mexican Academy of Sciences, among others.
