Yasuhiro Sumino is an M.D. degree holder. He got his D.M.S. degree in 2007, Graduate School of Medicine, Oita University, Department of Urology. He served in 2007 as an Advising Doctor of the Japanese Urological Association. In 2002, he was Certified Physician of the Japanese Urological Association. In 1997, he received an M.D. degree from Oita Medical University, Faculty of Medicine Professional Training and Employment. Since 2010, he serves as Medical Director of Floor, Oita University Hospital, Oita and since 2007, he serves as an Assistant Professor in Urology, Oita University Faculty of Medicine, Oita. From 2003 to 2007, he served as Graduate Researcher, Graduate School of Medicine, Oita University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology. He received the Kawabe Prize of 17th the Japanese Neurogenic Bladder Society “Myostatin Inhibits Growth of Satellite Cells in Human Urethral Rhabdosphincter via Phosphorylation of Smad-2” (2010, Kofu, Japan). His areas of expertise are the development of a novel technique for the regeneration of human urethral sphincter to treat urinary incontinence.
