Didier Carrie, M.D., Ph.D., serves as a Professor of medicine/cardiology, University of Paul Sabatier, and as a Head of Hemodynamics and Angioplasty Section, Rangueil Hospital, Toulouse, France. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, its prevention, and pharmacological and invasive therapy for acute myocardial ischaemia. He works as the Principal Investigator in France for national or international trials dealing with new drug-eluting stents (DES) for unprotected left main coronary artery disease, small vessel disease, in-stent restenosis or comparison between DES (PROTECT trial). He serves as a Trainer for young interventional cardiologists in particular settings (multivessel disease, acute myocardial infarction, and chronic total occlusion). He has published widely on coronary artery disease and interventional cardiology.
