Jyu-Lin Chen holds a Ph.D. degree. She is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing at the University of California San Francisco. Her program of research focuses on the impact of familial factors on Chinese and Chinese-American children’s health, with an emphasis on obesity in school-age children. Her research focuses on child-centered and family-oriented methods from a biobehavioral model. It aims to develop culturally and developmentally appropriate intervention programs. She has published more than 30 data-based research articles in the area of childhood obesity since 2003. She also teaches both M.S. and Ph.D. program at the UCSF.
