Fariborz Mansour-Ghanaei is Director of Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease Research Center (GLDRC) since its foundation in 1997 by him. He obtained National Board of Internal Medicine in 1993 from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and has been an Assistant Professor of Guilan University of Medical Sciences (GUMS), since then. He completed his subspecialty of gastroenterology in 2001 and in 2006 was appointed to Full Professor position in the same university. Professor Mansour-Ghanaei established gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship course at GUMS. He has served in several official positions including Vice Director of clinical education at the School of Medicine, GUMS; Vice Chancellor of research, GUMS; Vice Chancellor of education, GUMS and Chancellor of GUMS (2002-2006). Professor Mansour-Ghanaei is an Experienced Researcher and actively involved in 31 completed and 16 ongoing local and national projects. He has published 8 books, 50 international (ISI) and 36 national papers in creditable journals and presented 26 papers in international gastroenterology congresses.
