Bjorn Johansson is an Associate Professor of production systems. He received his Ph.D. degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, in 2006. He was a Guest Researcher at US National Institute of Standards and Technology from 2007 to 2009. His research is applied and focused on enabling productive utilization of virtual tools for sustainable production system development. Johansson’s specific areas of interest are discrete event simulation, input data management, scheduling, layout planning, sustainability measures of production operations, lifecycle assessment, balancing, and 3D visualization of production systems. He has close collaboration with automotive, food production industry, and subsuppliers and software vendors.
