Steven K. Howard
Steven K. Howard received his undergraduate training at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in pharmacology. Postgraduate training in anesthesiology at Stanford University School of Medicine followed his medical school training at the Chicago Medical School. He began his academic practice in anesthesiology after residency training and focused his research on the impact of fatigue on health care personnel and the impact of realistic simulation on the training and education of health care personnel. These research pursuits are lumped under the heading of patient safety. His clinical practice is at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System where he enjoys taking care of the veteran population.
