Vito Di Lernia
Vito Di Lernia works as Vice Director at the Unit of Dermatology, Department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialities, Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova, Azienda Ospedaliera di Reggio Emilia, Italy. Here, he is the Chief of the Immunologic and Pediatric Dermatology Section. Lernia received his M.D. degree from the University of Bologna, where he completed a residency programme in dermatology and venereology. He received awards from Italian Association of Hospital Dermatologists, including “Premio ADOI Juniores”, an award given annually to the Italian dermatologist under 35 years who has been particularly distinguished for his scientific work in the field of dermatology. His scientific interests include immunodermatology, epidemiology, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and pediatric dermatology. Lernia has authored more than 250 scientific articles, 60 of which published in journals indexed in Pubmed/Medline, 3 book chapters, and 1 book. He acts as a Referee for many scientific journals, among which Archives of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology, Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, European Journal of Dermatology, American Journal of Clinical Dermatology, European Journal of Medical Genetics, Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, Journal of Dermatological Case Reports, Dermatology Research and Practice, and Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Throughout his career, Lernia has been involved in various research projects and conducted several studies regarding psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. He gave many lectures in national conferences. He is a member of national and international dermatological societies.
