Craig Robson is the Head of the Solid Tumour Target Discovery Group, with research interests in urological, ovarian, gastric, and breast cancer. This group has a focus on translational research and the study of large tissue collections of prostate, bladder, renal, and ovarian cancer. Major national, European, and industrial collaborative programs for prostate cancer are well established, partiularly in the areas of drug development and high-throughput screening. His major research program is centred on prostate cancer, with particular interest in determining the mechanisms of how prostate cancer progresses from hormone-responsive to castrate resistant disease. Specific areas of research include molecular and cell biology of prostate cancer, hormone receptor signalling mechanisms, epigenetic regulation in cancer, urological stem cells, and role of posttranslational modification of proteins in prostate cancer.
