Yusuke Okazaki

Yusuke Okazaki completed his Ph.D. degree in earth and planetary sciences at Kyushu University, Japan, in 2004. He serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Kyushu University. He also serves as a Micropaleontologist (radiolarians) and a Paleoceanographer, studying marine sediment cores to understand past environmental changes. He participated as a Shipboard Scientist on the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP), Expedition 323, Bering Sea paleoceanography. His major research interests encompass the paleoceanography in the Pacific during the last 5 years.
