Tatsuharu Ohno Ohtsu Red Cross Hospital, Japan Tatsuharu Ohno was born in Gifu, Japan, in 1952. He received the M.D. degree and the Ph.D. degree from Kyoto Univeristy, Japan, in 1981 and 1988, respectively. From 1981 to 1984, T. Ohno worked as a resident of internal medicine and hematology in the First Division, Department of Internal Medicine, Kyoto University and Hematology Division, Department of Internal Medicine, Ohtsu Red Cross Hospital, Japan. In 1984, he entered Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, Japan. From 1988 to 1990, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Department of Developmental and Clinical Immunology, Department of medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. From 1990 to 1993, he was a Staff of the Department of Internal Medicine, Ohtsu Red Cross Hospital. He was promoted Associate Director in 1993 and Director in 1997, in Division of Hematology and Immunology, Department of Internal Medicine, Ohtsu Red Cross Hospital, Japan. In 2010, he was advanced to Assistant Vice-president of Ohtsu Red Cross Hospital, Japan. He is mainly interested in the immunological aspect of the various hematological disorders. He is a Representative of Japan Society of Hematology, and a Council or a Member of Japan Society of Clinical Immunology, Medical Oncology, Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation, Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy, Internal Medicine, etc. Biography Updated on 28 April 2011.
