Ivan Lee
Ivan Lee received the BE (with honors), MCom, MER, and Ph.D. degrees
from the University of Sydney, Australia. From 1998 to
2001, he worked for Cisco Systems as a Development Engineer,
responsible for terminal service, dialup, security,
voice+fax over IP, and routing technologies. From 2001
to 2003, he held a research and teaching position at
Ryerson University, Canada. From 2003 to 2005, he worked
for Remotek Corporation as a Software Engineer in the
advanced technology group, responsible for developing
WLAN access point, wireless NAS, and wireless PVR. Since
July 2005, he has been appointed as an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at Ryerson University. He held a visiting position at
Academia Sinica, 2005. He has served as an organizing
committee member in numerous international conferences,
including the Program Chair of 2008 ACM International
Conference on Image and Video Retrieval (CIVR). He
currently serves on the editorial board of IEEE
Communications Surveys and Tutorials. His research
interests include distributed multimedia communication
and multimedia signal processing.
