Yasser Osman
Yasser Osman is an Associate Professor in Urology working in the Urology and Nephrology Center in Mansoura University, Mansoura, Egypt. Being a Staff Member of the Urology Department, he has been taking part in the clinical as well as academic activities of his institute for the last 15 years with special interest upon the fields of renal transplantation as well as uro-oncology. He started his clinical career by joining the center as a resident in urology in 1994. After finishing his M.S. degree in urology in 1998, he received the title of Assistant Lecturer in urology. In 2003, he presented his thesis in the field of renal transplantation to be assigned as a Lecturer in urology. In this peroid, Osman visited Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, as well as the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in the USA as an International Scholar. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in urology since July 2008. He is also invited as a renal transplant Consultant Surgeon in major hospitals in the Arab Gulf area. Dr. Osman participated in 52 local and international meetings presenting more than 60 abstracts covering different fields of urology. He shared in the publication of 43 scientific papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals over the last 10 years and he shared in the authorship of 2 book chapters. Moreover, Dr. Osman is an international reviewer in 7 different international scientific journals in the fields of urology and renal transplantation, and he was an invited guest speaker in several meetings in Europe and Asia. Dr. Osman also participated and directed 15 workshops inside and outside the country by lecturing, performing live surgery, and guiding animal laboratory surgeries. Finally, Dr. Osman is a Member of the Egyptian, American, as well as the European Urological Associations, and he was honoured by receiving 8 different national and international prizes crowned by the state prize in the field of surgery twice in 2003 & 2009.
