Daniel Duprez

Daniel Duprez has held the Donald and Patricia Garofalo Chair for Preventive Cardiology, School of Medicine, University of Minnesota, since 2007, has been a Professor of medicine, School of Medicine, University of Minnesota, since 2004, and has been an Adjunct Professor in epidemiology and community health at the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, since 2011. Duprez has been the Director of the Lipid Clinic of the University of Minnesota, since 2004 and the Director of Research of the Rasmussen Center for Cardiovascular Prevention, Cardiovascular Division, University of Minnesota, since 2002. Duprez also was a Professor of cardiovascular diseases, University Ghent, Belgium, 1997–2002 and an Associate Professor of cardiovascular diseases, Ghent University, Belgium, 1993–1997. Duprez obtained an M.D. degree from the University Ghent, Belgium, completed the residency in internal medicine, University Hospital Ghent, Belgium, completed a fellowship in cardiology, University Hospital Ghent, Belgium, completed a fellowship in physiology, Mayo Postgraduate Medical School, USA, obtained a Ph.D. degree in cardiology, Ghent University, Belgium, and studied hospital management at the Catholic University Leuven, Belgium. Duprez is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the American Heart Association, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, Fellow of the American Society of Hypertension, and Fellow of the National Lipid Association.
