Yao Xie

Yao Xie received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and information science from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, China, in 2004. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, Gainesville. She is a Member of Tau Beta Pi and Etta Kappa Nu. She was the first-place winner in the Student Best Paper Contest at the 2005 Annual Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, for her work on breast cancer detection. Her research interests include signal processing, medical imaging, and array signal processing.
