Marco Milazzo holds a Ph.D. degree in animal biology (ecology) and serves as a Lecturer in Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Palermo. He is primarily engaged in marine ecological research within the Department of Earth and Marine Sciences (DiSTeM) at the University of Palermo, Italy. His main research interests are experimental ecology, effects of climate change on biodiversity of costal marine ecosystems, patterns of species distribution, biological invasions, and marine conservation. His research approach consists of field observations and then testing the explanation of these patterns in controlled laboratory conditions and/or through manipulative field experiments.
