Mumtaz Ahmad Quraishi

Mumtaz Ahmad Quraishi is a Professor of applied chemistry at the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Sagar, India, and the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Kurukshetra, India. Professor Quraishi also holds a D.S. degree in corrosion inhibition of some industrial metals and alloys from A. M. U. Aligarh. He is a recipient of the Vigyan Ratna Award (2008) by the Council of Science and Technology Government of U. P. and the Meritorious Contribution Award (2007) by the Indian section of NACE International among other awards. He was the Regional Director of the Indian section of NACE International (1995 to 2000) and currently a Member of the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Electrochemistry and the Journal of Materials and Environmental Science. He has over 150 journal papers and other academic publications to his credit. His current area of research interest is corrosion inhibition of metals and alloys green chemistry.
