Jun Iwamoto graduated from Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan in 1990, he and is now an orthopaedic surgeon. He is a Lecturer at the Institute for Integrated Sports Medicine, Keio University School of Medicine. He has served on the Advisory Broad of the Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery since 2008 and is currently an Editorial Board of the Journal of Osteoporosis. Dr. Iwamoto is a Member of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, European Calcified Tissue Society, International Bone and Mineral Society, International Society for Musculoskeletal and Neuronal Interaction, Japanese Society for Bone Mineral Research, and Japanese Orthopaedic Association. He received the Young Investigator Award from Sun Valley Hard Tissue Workshop in 2003. He has more than 140 English publications of basic and clinical research in the field of osteoporosis, geriatric medicine, orthopaedic surgery, and sports medicine. He is interested in the effects of sport and exercise, antifracture drugs, and vitamins (vitamin D and vitamin K) on the skeleton.
