Martin Psenicka received the Dipl. Ing. degree from the Faculty of Agriculture (specialization of Fisheries), University of South Bohemia in Ceské Budejovice, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters (specialization of Fisheries), University of South Bohemia in Ceské Budejovice, in 2009. From 2009 to 2010, Psenicka was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Graduate School of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido University, Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. Currently, Psenicka serves as the Head of the Laboratory of Reproductive Physiology. Psenicka’s research interests are fish reproduction, fertilization, biotechnology in fish reproduction, manipulation with germ cells, and biology of sturgeon.
