Guillaume Sébire, MD, PhD Université de Sherbrooke, QC, Canada Guillaume Sébire was born in Paris, France. He obtained his MD degree from the University of Paris V and completed a paediatric and neurology residence in 1991, followed by a fellowship in neuroinflammatory and neurovascular conditions at the CHU de Bicêtre, Université Paris XI, France. He got his PhD degree in Neuroscience from the University of Paris VI in 1996. From 1997 to 2002, he was the Head of Child Neurology Department, Director of the Child Neurology training Program, and Professor in the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium. Currently, he is the Director of the Child Neurology Department, Head of Child Neurology Laboratory, and Professor in the Université de Sherbrooke. As a clinician researcher, his areas of expertise are in the fields of inflammatory and/or hypoxic-ischemic aggressions involved in neurodevelopmental conditions such as stroke, encephalitis and perinatal brain damage leading to cerebral palsy.
