G. Sebire
G. Sebire was born in Paris, France. He obtained his M.D. degree from the University of Paris V, Paris, France, and completed a paediatric and neurology residence in 1991, followed by a fellowship in neuroinflammatory and neurovascular conditions at the CHU de Bicêtre, Université Paris XI, France. He got his Ph.D. degree in neuroscience from the University of Paris VI in 1996. From 1997 to 2002, he was the Head of Child Neurology Department, the Director of the Child Neurology Training Program, and a Professor at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium. Currently, he is the Director of the Child Neurology Department, the Head of the Child Neurology Laboratory, and a Professor in the Université de Sherbrooke. As a clinician researcher, his areas of expertise are in the fields of inflammatory and/or hypoxic-ischemic aggressions involved in neurodevelopmental conditions such as stroke, encephalitis, and perinatal brain damage leading to cerebral palsy.
