Ridha Hambli is currently serving as a Professor of mechanical design and the Director of the Research Group of Biomechanics and Mechanobiology of Bone at PRISME Institute, University of Orleans, Orleans, France. He studied mechanical engineering at Ecole Centrale de Nante, Nante, France and he received his Doctoral degree in 1996 from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Metiers of Angers, France dealing with coupled strain-damage behaviour law to simulate damage and fracturing processes during metal forming processes considering contact and wear. Subsequently, Hambli worked as a Project Manager at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Metiers, France, for two years and then as an Associate Professor at Institut des Sciences et Techniques de L'Ingénieur d'Angers, France. In 2006, Hambli moved to University of Orleans, France, as a Full Professor where he was involved in teaching and research activities related to biomechanics and contact/wear of bone.
