Raghava R. Kommalapati received his Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering from the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, USA, in 1995, and he worked as a Research Associate for more than a year before joining the Civil Engineering Faculty at the Prairie View A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 1998. R. Kommalapati currently serves as the Director of the NSF Center for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, and he is a Professor of civil and environmental engineering. He is actively involved in research related to energy and environmental sustainability, atmospheric interactions of fog, fate, and transport of contaminants, and industrial waste separation. He also works as a Professional Engineer (PE) and as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE).
