Ralph J. Manders
Ralph J. Manders received his Ph.D. in 2008 on his research assessing the potential of protein (hydrolysate) supplementation to stimulate endogenous insulin secretion, increase skeletal muscle mass and thereby, and improve glycemic control in type 2 diabetes patients. Currently, Manders works as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Faculty Member at the Department of Human Movement Sciences at Maastricht University Medical Center. In his research, he focuses on determining the effects of different nutritional and exercise interventions on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes through the application of continuous glucose monitoring.
