P. G. Kevrekidis
P. G. Kevrekidis received the B.S. degree in physics from University of Athens and the M.S., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Rutgers University. After a postdoctoral year between Princeton University and Los Alamos National Laboratory, he joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of UMass, Amherst, where he works currently as an Associate Professor. He has published more than 200 research papers and has received a Career Award in the field of applied mathematics from the U.S. National Science Foundation, a Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and a SIAM Outstanding Paper Prize, among other prizes and awards.
