Diane M. Billings

Diane M. Billings is a Chancellors’ Professor Emeritus at Nursing at Indiana University School of Nursing, Indianapolis, Ind, USA. As a consultant and free lance instructional designer, she works with faculty groups to integrate best practices in teaching and learning in online courses. She is the author of three award winning nursing textbooks and has published articles in nursing and higher-education journals in the area of using information technology to support teaching and learning. She is the Coeditor of Teaching in Nursing, a textbook used to prepare nurses for educator roles, and two NCLEX-RN Review books used by nursing students worldwide to prepare for the US liscensing exam for registered nurses. She is the recipient of national awards for her teaching and innovative use of technology. She serves on the editorial boards of 6 nursing journals. Her current research focuses on the benchmarking the best practices in teaching and learning.
