Gecheng Zha is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Miami, FL, USA. Dr. Zha is specialized in aircraft aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) algorithm development and simulation application, flow control, wind tunnel tests, turbomachinery and propeller aerodynamics, and design optimization. Before Dr. Zha joined UM in 2001, he had extensive experience within the aerospace industry (GE Aircraft Engines, Pratt & Whitney) and government laboratories (AFRL). Dr. Zha received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Montreal in 1994. In the Spring of 2000, Dr. Zha studied at MIT as a special student in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Dr. Zha is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a turbomachinery Committee Member of the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers. Dr. Zha has published numerous papers in scientific peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
