Mandi M. Murph
Mandi Murph works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia in the College of Pharmacy and the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences. Prior to joining the faculty several years ago, Dr. Murph completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. While there, she worked on developing novel pharmaceutical agents and tested their efficacy using animal models of cancer. In her lab at the University of Georgia, Dr. Murph continues to investigate malignancy with a focus on chemoresistance in ovarian cancer and specific targeting of melanoma cells. She is the Author of publications appearing in Cancer Cell, Molecular Cancer, Molecular Cancer Research, PLoS ONE, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, and Journal of Biological Chemistry. Funding of her research program has generously been received from the American Cancer Society, the National Institutes of Health National Cancer Center, and the Georgia Cancer Coalition.
