Hwangjun Song

Hwangjun Song received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Control and Instrumentation, School of Electrical Engineering, Seoul National University, Korea, in 1990 and 1992, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering systems, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, Calif., USA, in 1999. He was a Research Engineer at LG Industrial Lab., Korea, in 1992. From 1995 to 1999, he was a Research Assistant in SIPI (Signal and Image Processing Institute) and IMSC (Integrated Media Systems Center), University of Southern California. Since 2000, he has been a faculty member with the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Hongik University, Seoul, Korea. His research interests include multimedia signal processing and communication, image/video compression, digital signal processing, network protocols necessary to implement functional image/video applications, control system and fuzzy-neural system.
