Yang Yang received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Nankai University, Tianjin, China. He obtained both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physical chemistry (theoretical chemistry) from the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI, USA, respectively. He was a Joint Postdoc Research Fellow at the Departments of Geoscience and Chemistry and NASA Astrobiology Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, from 2009 to 2011. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in Rowan University. His research topics focus on computational and theoretical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, and material sciences, with particular interest in enzymatic catalysis mechanism, biomineralization, drug design, solvation effects, and so on.
