Xuemei Sui

Xuemei Sui received her M.D. degree in China and her M.P.H in Biometry from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL, USA. She is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Exercise Science, Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, USA. She is one of the instructors for exercise-randomized controlled trial. During the past several years, she has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in physical activity, cardiorespiratory fitness, and health outcomes. She is an active reviewer for many high-impact journals such as Archives of Internal Medicine, American Journal of Epidemiology, and Prevention Science. Dr. Sui is a physical activity epidemiologist specializing in aging-related activity and disease outcomes, in promoting physical activity through lifestyle intervention, and in long-term observational studies related to injury and energy balance. She has studied under guidance of Dr. Steven Blair, a renowned national and international physical activity expert.
