Ariel D. Arencibia

Ariel D. Arencibia received the Ph.D. degree in agricultural sciences from the National Institute for Agricultural Sciences, Havana, Cuba. He then obtained a UNIDO-ICGEB Fellowship on plant molecular biology from University of Pavia, Italy (from 1994 till 1996) and a postdoctoral fellowship on plant molecular biology form the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2004). Dr. Arencibia worked as an Agronomic Engineer at University of Matanzas, Cuba (from 1981 till 1986). Moreover, he was an Invited Professor at Key Biotechnology and Genetic Improvement Laboratory at Guangxi Academic of Agricultural Sciences, Guangxi, China (2006-2007) and an Invited Professor at Genetic and Evolution Department, Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar), Sao Paulo, Brazil (2009). Since 2001, he has been a Senior Researcher and Professor.
