Vladimir Lesnyak currently serves as a Marie Curie Fellow at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Genova, Italy) in the group of Prof. Liberato Manna. Lesnyak received his Ph.D. degree in chemistry (2005) from the Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus) under supervision of Prof. F. N. Kaputsky, developing a synthesis of petroleum resins and methods of their chemical modification. His Ph.D. studies were followed by postdoctoral research at the Technical University of Dresden (Dresden, Germany) in the group of Prof. Alexander Eychmüller from 2006 to 2012. His current research focuses on the synthesis, assembly, and applications of colloidal semiconductor and metal nanocrystals.
