George Morcous serves as an Associate Professor at Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, Neb, USA, since January 2005. He obtained his B.S. degree in civil engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1994, and his M.S. degree in construction management from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1997. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Concordia University – Canada in 2000. He is currently a registered professional engineer in Nova Scotia – Canada and in the State of Nebraska and he worked as a consultant in several bridge and building projects. His research and teaching interests include design and construction of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures and bridge maintenance management. He is the author and coauthor of over 80 referred publications and a member of several professional organizations, such as ACI, PCI, ASCE, and TRB.
