Fikret Caliskan
Fikret Caliskan received the B.Sc. degree in electronics and communication engineering and the M.Sc. degree in control and computer engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey in 1984 and 1987, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in control systems engineering from the University of London, London, UK in 1993. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Control Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. He was involved with various research and teaching activities at Oakland University, Rochester, USA and Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, USA between 1999 and 2001 and at SUNY in Binghamton, USA in 2008-2009. He is the coauthor of the books: Fault Diagnosis and Reconfiguration in Flight Control Systems, New York: Springer, 2003 and Aircraft Icing Detection, Identification and Reconfigurable Control, 2011, Lambert Academic Publishing. His research interest includes fault diagnosis in dynamic systems, fault tolerant control systems, estimation, robust control, neural networks, and fuzzy logic.
