Hing Kai Chan

Hing Kai Chan is a Lecturer in operations, logistics, and supply chain management at the Norwich Business School. He gained his Ph.D. degree (with research focus on supply chain management), an M.S. degree (with distinction) in industrial engineering and industrial management, and a B.S. degree in electrical and electronic engineering, all from the University of Hong Kong. He also earned a B.S. degree in economics and management from London School of Economics and Political Science. His current research interests include supply chain modeling and simulation, advanced industrial or manufacturing systems, and applications of soft computing on intelligent industrial systems and supply chains. He is also keen on research topics related to manufacturing or operations strategy like scheduling of flexible manufacturing systems, which are his early research interests. Dr. Chan is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He is a chartered engineer and also a chartered marketer.
