Ping Feng Pai
Ping-Feng Pai received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, National Chiao Tung University (Hsinh Chu, Taiwan), in 1990 and 1992, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Kansas State University (Manhattan, Kansas, USA) in 1998. During 1999-2004, Dr. Pai has been an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor with Minghsin Institute of Technology and Dayeh University. He joined the Department of Information Management, National Chi Nan University, in 2005, where he has been a Professor since 2006. Dr. Pai's research and teaching interests focus on: Data Mining Techniques (Support Vector Machines (Regression)/ Neural Networks/Fuzzy Systems/Rough Set Theory), Meta Heuristics, Operations Management, and Operations Research. He has over 40 refereed journal papers appeared in The International Journal of Management Science, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, International Journal of Systems Science, Journal of Systems and Software, etc. He serves as an associate editor or on the editorial board of several technical journals. Dr. Pai is a Senior Member of IEEE and served as the Secretary, INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) Taiwan Chapter from 2003 to 2005.
