Georges Bernard Guillou
Georges Bernard Guillou has received the M.D. degree from the Medical School of Nantes, France, in 1983. He is also a certified Merchant Navy Doctor from the University of Nantes. He received a degree in clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics from the Pitié-Salpétrière Medical School of Paris in 1983. From 1982 to 1983, he was a Research Fellow in clinical pharmacology at the University Hospital in Nantes. In 1983, he joined the Rhône-Poulenc Santé (now Sanofi-Aventis) as CNS Research Project Leader. In 1987, Guillou moved to Fidia-France as Clinical Research Director. In 1993, he joined the Laboratoires Expanscience as R&D Director then Scientific Affairs & Licensing Director. In 1999, he became Licensing and Scientific Intelligence Director at Expanscience S.A., the parent company of Laboratoires Expanscience. Presently, Guillou is the Director of Scientific Relations and Licensing, Expanscience S.A. and a Member of the French Society of Clinical Pharmacology, the Osteoarthritis Research Society International, the French Association of Regulatory Affairs, and the Licensing Executive Society. Guillou is mainly interested in rheumatology, clinical pharmacology, and therapeutics. He is the Coinventor of two international active patents, and he is also the author and/or coauthor of more than 40 publications in specialized journals.
