Ronaldo Mohana Borges

Ronaldo Mohana Borges was born in Niteroi, RJ, Brazil, in 1969. He received the Chemistry degree and the Ph.D. degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil, in 1994 and 2000, respectively. In 2000, he was awarded the fellowship of PEW Latin American Fellow from the Pew Trust. From 2000 to 2003, he carried out a postdoctoral training at Dr. Peter E. Wright's laboratory at the Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, Calif, USA. In 2002, he was hired as an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Biophysics Carlos Chagas Filho, UFRJ. Borges is mainly interested in biophysical chemistry, structural biology, biotechnology, protein folding, NMR, mainly focusing on dengue pathogenesis.
