Fu-Zen Shaw received the B.S. degree in biomedical engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), Chung Li, Taiwan as well as the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. He worked at Tzu Chi University, Hualien City, Taiwan and National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, from 1999 to 2006. He works currently as a Professor and the Head of the Department of Psychology and the Institute of Cognitive Science, with a joint appointment in the Department of Physical Therapy and the Institute of Gerontology, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. His research interests include the establishing animal models of neurological diseases (epilepsy, fibromyogia, stroke, and sleep disorders) for mechanism investigation and therapeutic platform, development of neurocognitive rehabilitation, neurofeedback training, sleep and memory, and home-based health research.
