Yunhua Li received his M.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering from Jilin University of Technology (now Jilin University), Changchun, China, in 1988, and Ph.D. degree in mechatronics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 1994, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Automatic Control, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng kung University, from December 1994 to October 1996 and from July 1997 to August 1997, respectively. In 1996, he became a Full-Time Associate Professor in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In 1999, he became Full Professor in mechanical engineering. From August to November 2008, as Senior Research Fellow, he visited G.W.W. School of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. His current research interests include nonlinearity dynamics, hydraulic servo control for aircraft, mechatronic control systems, nonlinear vibration and control, and the transmission and control of aircraft, mobile robots, and vehicle. He has published more than 150 refereed journal and conference papers on the transactions and proceedings of IEEE and ASME, and 3 books. He has completed numerous granted research and development projects as a Principal Investigator and has acquired 8 China's scientific awards. At present, Li is an Associate Editor of International Journal of Control Theory and Applications and Editor-in-Chief of Hydraulics Pneumatics and Seals.
