Emily Lin received her M.S. degree from the Department of Linguistics and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Iowa (Iowa City, Iowa, USA). Dr. Lin underwent her postdoctoral fellowship training in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Northwestern University Medical School (Chicago, Ill, USA). Dr. Lin is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Disorders at the University of Canterbury (Christchurch, New Zealand). Dr. Lin’s research focuses on laryngeal pathophysiology, voice science and disorders, and speech acoustics and perception. Dr Lin’s recent research has also extended to areas in the hearing science, including noise-induced hearing loss, Ménière's disease, cochlear implant, and auditory training.
