Zhenli L. He received the Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees from Zhejiang University, Soil and Environmental Chemistry (1988, 1984, 1981, resp.). Since 2009, he has been serving as a Research Foundation Professor at the UF/IFAS, IRREC, SWSD where he also served as an Associate Professor (2008–2009), an Assistant Professor (2004–2008), an Assistant Scientist (2001–2004), and a Postdoctoral Fellow (1997–2001). He also served from 1996–1997 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Crop and Soil Environmental Science, VPI-SU. He has been working since 1996 as a Junction Professor at the Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He served from 1993–1996 as a Professor at the Resource Science Department, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, and from 1991–1993 as an Associate Professor at the same department. From 1991–1993, he served as a Visiting Scientist, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne-Soil Science Department, UK, and from 1989–1991, as a Lecturer at Resource Science Department, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, and from 1985–1989, he worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the same department. He has been serving with several professional organizations including the American Association for Advancement of Science (since 2008), the American Chemical Society (since 2008), the International Union of Soil Science (since 1989), the American Society of Agronomy (since 1996), and the Soil Science Society of America (since 1996). He obtained several awards, honors, and fellowships including the Superior Accomplishment Award, University of Florida (2010); Research Foundation Professorship Award, University of Florida (2009); 2nd place Award for Science and Technology Progress from the Ministry of Education, China (2000); Trans-Century Talent Young Scientist Award from the Ministry of Education, China (1996); the Technical Cooperative Research Award from the British Educational Council, UK (1992).
