Arnout Voet serves as JSPS Guest Researcher since 2012 at Zhang IRU, RIKEN Institute Laboratories, Wako, Japan, where he was a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2011 to 2012. He also works as a Guest Lecturer in molecular recognition since 2011 at KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, where he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Biomolecular Modeling Laboratory from 2010 to 2011. Voet was a Ph.D. student at the same laboratory from 2005 to 2010. He obtained his M.S. degree in biochemistry in 2004 from KU Leuven and his B.S. degree in chemistry in 2002 from KULAK, Kortrijk, Belgium. His fields of expertise and interest include structure based drug design: virtual screening, chemoinformatics, molecular docking, and pharmacophore modeling; structural bioinformatics: structure prediction, protein design, homology modeling, and molecular dynamics; protein-protein interaction inhibition: computational methods, LEDGF/p75, HIV-1 integrase, and SMPPII.
