Hisato Iwata received his Ph.D. degree in environmental chemistry from Ehime University in 1994 and is currently a Professor at the Division of Ecotoxicology, Center for Marine Environmental Studies at Ehime University. Dr. Iwata’s research has included studies of the species diversity in nuclear receptor-mediated cytochrome P450 signal pathway system and the effects on the system that environmental pollutants exert in wildlife such as fishes, birds, and mammals. He has authored/coauthored over 100 articles and a dozen of book chapters on his research. Dr. Iwata is currently a Member of Global Center of Excellence (COE) Program for “Interdisciplinary Studies on Environmental Chemistry” at Ehime University.
