JiYeoun Lee

JiYeoun Lee received his B.S. degree in electronics and computer engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea, in 2001. And he completed his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in speech signal processing from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division of Head/Neck Surgery, UCLA, under the guidance of Dr. Jody Kreiman and Dr. Bruce Gerratt. His research is to analyze pathological voices with a variety of speech disorders in the views of acoustic and nonparametric modeling and to implement automatic and objective tools that are able to assess rough, breathy, and normal voice quality and to predict their voice after an operation. He mainly focuses his efforts on investigating various factors affecting pathological voice quality and on modeling his findings using single equation regression model, Gaussian mixture model, new parameters, and so forth.
