Salvatore Carta is Associate Professor of computer science at the University of Cagliari, Italy. He graduated (summa cum laude) in electronic engineering at the University of Cagliari, in 1997. He received a Ph.D. degree in electronics and computer science from the same university in 2003. In 2006 and 2007 he was Visiting Professor at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of EPFL (Echole Politechnique de Lausanne). In 2005, he joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of University of Cagliari as Assistant Professor, and in 2015 as Associate Professor. He has been teaching during the years courses of computer architecture and operating systems. Current research interests of Carta focus mainly on social recommendation and persuasive computing. He previously worked on architectures, software, and tools for distributed computing and networks on chip. He is author of more than 60 papers in these fields.
