Alexander Bolshoy

Alexander Bolshoy completed his Ph.D. degree in computational structural biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel, in 1993. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Evolutionary and Environmental Biology and a Member of the Institute of Evolution, University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel. Bolshoy has been a major player in the field of DNA linguistics and in the field of DNA curvature and bendability since the 1990s. He is one of the most cited and well‐known researchers in the field of DNA curvature and bendability. His studies at the University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel, also received high accolades in the field of DNA curvature and bendability with a special focus on prokaryotic gene expression.
