Bogdan Sasu graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, West University of Timisoara in 1995. He obtained the M.S. degree at INLN, Nice, Sophia Antipolis in the specialization of applied mathematics in fluid mechanics. His Ph.D. degree focused on the asymptotic behavior of evolution families and was elaborated under the scientific coordination of Professor Mihail Megan, being awarded with a special distinction. Since 1995, he is a Member of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, West University of Timisoara. He worked as the Director of several research grants in control theory and dynamical systems and as the Director of the Research M.S. Program. His research area focuses on the asymptotic behavior of evolution equations in infinite-dimensional spaces and their applications in control theory and also on the qualitative theory of difference equations in infinite-dimensional spaces and the controllability of systems of difference equations. He published over 65 scientific papers in pure and applied mathematics and 10 books. He is a Member of the following professional societies: American Mathematical Society, International Society of Difference Equations, European Mathematical Society, and Romanian Mathematical Society.
