Gilda Schirinzi

Gilda Schirinzi was graduated in electronic engineering from the University of Napoles Federico II, Naples, Italy, in 1983. In the same year, she joined the Electronic Engineering Department as a Research Fellow. From 1985 to 1986, she was with the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands. In 1988, she joined Istituto di Ricerca per l'Elettromagnetismo e i Componenti Elettronici (IRECE), CNR, in Naples. Schirinzi was appointed the Head of Electromagnetics Division, IRECE, in 1992, and became a First Researcher at the same Institute, in 1997. Currently, she is a Full Professor of telecommunications at the University of Cassino, Cassino, Italy. Her main scientific interests are in the field of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) signal processing and coding.
